Principle of unification of customs systems

The article discusses one of the special principles of international customs law - the principle of unification of customs systems. The author determined that the principle of unification of customs systems ensures the formation of uniform standards of procedures and rules for customs clearance. Specific examples of the operation of the principle of unification of customs systems in practice are considered: the establishment of a single format for customs documentation, the formation of a unified information system, standardization of customs control norms. The relationship between the principle of unification of customs systems and other sectoral principles of international customs law has been established. It is concluded that the principle of unification is of great importance for the development of international trade relations and cooperation in general.
