Principal thermochemical technology of zircon-baddeleyite concentrates processing

Zircon-baddeleyite bearing ores are composed of mostly loose, finely divided matter, i.e. they are natural and rich disintegrated slurry concentrate. Mineral and chemical composition of these оres has been studied by a complex of modern mineralogical methods that result in its technological properties forecast. A principal innovative thermochemical technology for these ores was developed, which was based on the opening of zircon-baddeleyite by sintering with limestone followed by cake acid leaching. The uranium sorption operation induced in the cycle allows to obtain zirconium dioxide and uranium concentrate at further processing.
