The article is devoted to the peculiarities of pedagogical work in higher educational institutions, aimed at the adaptation of a student with developmental disabilities (hereinafter - inclusive students) to the conditions of the educational process. Adaptive physical education is considered in the material as a method for the rehabilitation of students with limited health abilities, which can be classified into typological and individual. This sports and health program, which is implemented in physical education classes at universities, will help not only improve the health status of inclusive students, but also have a positive effect on their social and communication skills. And with due desire - to become the basis of professional work.
