Guidelines laid down in giving generic names attributed to medicinal plants

The paper considered the guidelines laid down in giving a generic name attributed to a medicinal plant. Discovering the guidelines for nominating the items and the actuals of life and study in this phenomenon has always been of the utmost importance for modern linguistics; it would help investigating the origins of the words, and disclosing language reference to actuality, reflecting a verbal picturing of life and ethnic cultural peculiarities. Exploring regularities in nomination procedures operating in the set of phytonymic terms made it possible to determine the specifics of perceiving the plant kingdom by the human, thus sorting the plants names by the way they have been nominated. The authors have examined in the paper the motivators that were of most frequency in nominating the medicinal plants.
