Host community and labor migrants in the Russian Far East: multidisciplinary analysis of the historical situation in the early XXI century

The problem of labour migrants is analyzed on the synthesis of the socio-political approach and ethno-sociological method that allows, on the obtained research data, coming to the conclusion that: in the Far East, migrant workers and the host community fall into a "historical trap" in the period of transformations. It appears as a result of the collision between different forms of social self- organization: emerging institutions of civil society and labour migrants in the region. The latter tend to the community or the groups which are at the stage of diasporization. The factor of identity is taken into account.
