In article problems of development of meat cattle breeding and saturation of the food market of the country by meat products are considered. For this purpose it is necessary to define priority directions of stabilization and development of the cattle-breeding branches providing manufacture of meat. Among them key factors of increase of efficiency of animal industries are reproduction of a livestock of cattle and forage reserve creation.
