Priorities of the Hyogo framework for action 2005-2015 and improving disaster management in Russia

The article presents the main challenges and priorities of the Hyogo Framework for Action and their implementation in the activity of the EMERCOM of Russia in the 2005-2015 years. The main result of this work was the creation at all levels of state and municipal government of Russia effective disaster prevention and response. Implementation of the Hyogo Framework for Action was the basis of the new Sendai Framework for Action for the period 2015-2030 years.
