This article discusses such concepts as suspension of an employment contract and termination of an employment contract due to circumstances that do not depend on the will of the parties. The author presents scientific views on the suspension of an employment contract, as well as the classification of this concept. According to the author, there is a need to improve federal legislation by adding the definition of suspension of an employment contract to the norms of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, as well as the need to extend the suspension of an employment contract to circumstances that do not depend on the will of the parties.
