The article traces the history of the Greek lectionary D 227 (12th century AD) belonging to the collection of the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IOM RAS). Te authors begin with an account of the manuscript’s circulation from the moment it was found in the Cathedral church of Bosra to its delivery to the Asiatic Museum among other manuscripts along with the collection of patriarch Gregory IV. Te interpretation of two colophons (14th century AD) as well as of the inscriptions in Arabic and Greek (dating from the 16th to the late 19th century AD) made it possible to trace the history of the manuscript’s D 227 circulation. Te authors repeat in the article texts of the Arabic and Greek inscriptions and give their translations. Te article also contains short historical information about such Syrian churches and monasteries as Cathedral church of St. Sergius, Bacchus and Leontius in Bosra, monastery of St. George al-Ḥumairā’ near Homs etc related with the manuscript. In addition to that the authors touch upon the history of the lectionary’s D 227 analysis undertaken by Ignaty Krachkovsky in the course of his studies of Gregory IV’s collection. Te result of the present work is the publication of two previously unknown colophons and Arabic inscriptions found in Byzantine lectionary D 227 from the collection of IOM RAS. Te study enabled us to indicate more precisely the date of the manuscript’s inclusion into waqf (religious property) of the Church of St. Sergius, Bacchus and Leontius in Bosra and to trace the circulation of the manuscript until the beginning of the 20th century AD
