The 20th century has proven to be the era of questions and topics in ecclesiology, the focus of which, according to the author of the present article, is most on problems of the historical dynamics of the relationship between God and man, which is a topic from the realm of the theology of history. The questions being asked today in this area of scholarship demand, first and foremost, a strict and delicate formulation of the terminological apparatus. Unfortunately, we do not always find such an approach even among the best-known theologians of the recent era, which characterizes the past century as a time of preparation for resolving the various pressing issues of ecclesiology and the theology of history, though an important time nonetheless. An accurate and well-reasoned terminological foundation for the theology of history will help not only shape this field as a modern and autonomous area of scholarly research, but also provide answers to a series of complex ecclesiological questions being posed today. The present article is devoted to the applicability, and, possibly, scalability, of the universal dogmatic terminological apparatus to the field of the theology of history.
