Variety of different cultures with different economies used to inhabit the south of the Baraba forest-steppe (Western Siberia) from Neolithic to modern time. Holocene environmental changes are hypothesized to have had a significant influence on the development of the human societies in this region. Many well-studied world-famous unique archeological objects from the Bronze and Iron Ages are situated in Southwest Siberia (Chicha, Tartas, etc.) they can provide us archeological evidences of possible climatic influence on economies.
