Potential and perspectives of non-forest resources using in South Ural region

For the first time in the Republic of Bashkortostan the analysis of non-timber wood resources on the territory of the state forest stock for the 1990-2008 yrs. period was carried out. The extent of storage was shown to be connected with labour force, transport availability of secondary forest raw materials and, also, with the material concernment of the local population. The extent of non-timber wood resources is expected to grow considerably in future depending on the economic development of the region in general.
