Wall-bounded Reynolds stress transfer model based on direct numerical simulation data

Бесплатный доступ

We solve the problem of calibrating the model of triple velocity correlations from the differential model for Reynolds stresses based on direct numerical simulation (DNS) data of the developed turbulent flow in the channel. Using well-known models of triple correlations, a tensor basis is compiled. Based on the study of the correlation of the vectors of the tensor basis and the vector of turbulent transport, three calibration regions are distinguished. A procedure is proposed to modify the coefficients of the model to reduce their dependence on the Reynolds number. The profiles of triple velocity correlations from DNS data are compared with profiles obtained by using a new model of turbulent transport and one of the standard models.
