The article considers functioning of possessive adjectives with the suffix-j-/-ьj-in RussianChronicles. The nature of the basis, lexical and grammatical meanings of the word forms under studythat are realized in the adjectival-substantival syntagms constituting the annalistic narrative aredefined.
