Mission - the student of local lore (to the 110 anniversary of Anatoly A. Krasnenko)

The article is devoted to the life and work of Anatoly A. Krasnenko (1908-1999), Kuban student of local lore, Honoured citizen of Krasnodar, author of many works on the history and culture of the region. The author considers the basic stages of the biography of Anatoly A. Krasnenko, his contribution to the preservation of the cultural heritage of the region. Special attention is paid to publications of Anatoly A. Krasnenko in Kuban Press in 1990s about local necropolis, archaeological excavations, the history of the revival of Krasnodar after the Great Patriotic War, the problems of architectural appearance of the city. The initiatives of Anatoly A. Krasnenko in the salvation of architectural monuments and preserve historical memory is emphasized by the author.
