The author examines the issue of the ethical status of digital immortality on the basis of modern research on the digital ethics as a possible prospect for the development of modern technologies. The study is relevant due to the fact that neurocommunication technologies are being developed within the framework of neurotechnologies, which may become the beginning of the formation of a new stage in the development of the Internet – the so-called “Neuronet”, which will make the question of possible digital immortality real. A discourse about the values of transhumanist philosophy appears, one of the main ideals of which is the achievement of immortality. Thus, for the first time in history, the issue of immortality is considered from a scientific and philosophical point of view, which makes the ethical understanding of this phenomenon relevant. For the first time a comprehensive ethical analysis of the problems of digital immortality is carried out in the context of the prospects for the development of new technologies. As a result, it is concluded that the ethical problems of digital aftermath are moving to the ontological level, forcing a philosophical rethinking of both the very definition of a person and the status of physical death
