The man problem in terms of the history of technological utopianism

The subject of this study is the comprehension of ideas about man and the foundations of their development within the framework of the techno-utopian teachings of the 20th and 21st centuries. In the late 20th - early 21st century, the concept of technological utopianism developed in line with transhumanistic ideas about the dynamics of human nature, as well as anti-statistic socio-economic theories. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the contextual consideration of the problem of man, their development and interaction with technology, taking into account the history of techno-utopian doctrines. A comprehensive methodological approach that includes descriptive characterization and comparative analysis of techno-utopian and transhumanistic concepts of various thinkers is used. The conclusions concern the relationship between the evolution of techno-utopian theories and the ideas about man that have developed in transhumanism in the late 20th - early 21st centuries. The idea of the symbiosis of man and machine acquires an optimistic view in a given period, associated with the rapid development of information technology and the subsequent spread of the concepts of technological utopianism and technological determinism.
