The article considers the problem of the need for a qualitative economic analysis of the company's activities in the manifestation of crisis situations. The author considers possible diagnostics of the bankruptcy of an enterprise, the most common of which are the Altman, Taffler, Springate, Fulmer models. The object of the study was VOLKSWAGEN GROUP RUS LLC, for which the bankruptcy diagnosis was made according to these models. Based on the results of the study, conclusions were drawn about the limitations of various bankruptcy models. In order to overcome the shortcomings of multifactor models with a common complex indicator of assessing the risk of bankruptcy in crisis management, the author suggests changing the approach to assessing the risk of bankruptcy and using combined indicators that allow assessing the risk of bankruptcy separately by model elements.
