The authors have analysed the literature on the problem of integral and differential evaluation of body state. The limiting conditions have been singled out, which have to be implemented for integral approach of body state evaluation. They are the following: giving up the usage of any subjective indices; presence of a common standard (the parameters of perfect normal values) for determination of the degree of each index deviation separately and their integral value on the whole; the possibility of using any objective quantitative indices of organism; quantitative account while calculating the integral evaluation of the activity limits of the physiological mechanisms determining the fluctuation range of each index separately under perfect normal conditions; presentation of the values of the indices used as universal dimensionless units allowing mathematical operations independent of the units in which the indices are expressed; taking into consideration the fluctuating character of the change of organism index values without monitoring; biological substantiation of recalculating the index values with their transformation into universal dimensionless units.
