Features of human psychology determined by Soviet home-life culture are considered in the article. In the course of discussion and implementation of “the new domestic rules of family life” in the 1920s Russian people lost some traditional values and symbols. In the 1930s the Russian society faced a new reality in which the structure of domestic life is being artificially ruined thus exposing the inner aspect of private life and eliminating individuality. This work analyzes the psychology of a Soviet individual of the 30s making use of the notion of “symbolic permeability of home space” and eliminating the boundaries between outer space of society life and domestic life of an individual.
