Trust is presented as a fundamental and important topic and problem of modern Russian society, the solution of which is an important step towards solving psychological, social, economic, and political problems. The essence of trust, as it is understood by body-oriented psychotherapy, is considered. This is a kind of answer "yes" to the personality as the integrity of the conscious and unconscious (bodily) in relation to this or that phenomenon, which is perceived as safe and valuable. A violation of trust is a psychophysical block caused by a conflict that arose in the process of socialization between motives, impulses, feelings and a ban on this impulse, feeling, impulse, as a result of which there is distrust within the personality itself. As a result, natural self-regulation is disrupted, and pathological mistrust (or pathological trust) arises as a result of psychological trauma. The types and features of developmental injuries in different age periods are considered from the point of view of bodynamics. Also, historical transformations related to the topic of trust are investigated and the prerequisites for the development of trust in modern culture, associated with the progress of science and humanitarian knowledge, are found.
