The problem of philosophy as a worldview in a modern society

The authors aim to explore the problem of philosophy as one of the types of worldview in modern society. To do this, first of all, the concepts of worldview and philosophy are distinguished - a special type of worldview, which is a collection of knowledge, principles, values. Elements and levels of worldview as a concept are distinguished, its subject and the place of philosophy among types of worldview are defined. The differences between the scientific nature of philosophy and the religious and mythological types of worldview are analyzed in the article. In the process of research, the authors examined the history of the formation of a philosophical worldview and its main components: the theory of cognition, the history of philosophy, ethics, aesthetics, logic, etc. It is concluded that in the conditions of the social relations transformation, the formation of a truly philosophical worldview based on rational, scientific premises is more relevant than ever.
