The problem of using experimental procedure in investigating words describing auditory perception

The article covers practical usage of hypothetic-deductive method (HDM) as one of the experimental lingvocognitive analyzing techniques. HDM allows studying differences in semantics of the words studied by manifold experimental proof of their combinability as well as by the cognitive interpretation of the data thus obtained. HDM stages for studying the meaning of the Russian words grokhot (crash), gul (hum, roar), shum (noise), describing sound perception are considered. Differences in the meaning of the words and cognitive interpretation of features composing their meaning are analyzed.
