The problem of corruption measurement: is any objective international corruption ratings?

The article discusses the problem of measuring corruption, attitude to corruption ratings. The main attention is paid to the analysis of the shortcomings of such ratings, in particular, the Corruption Perception Index. The author comes to the conclusion that the obvious politicization of the problem of corruption (both in the national and global contexts) makes it difficult for her to have an objective scientific analysis.
