The problem of cultural and historical memory and places of memory in domestic and foreign historiography

The article considers one of the most relevant areas of modern socio-humanitarian knowledge devoted to the study of the interaction of three fundamental foundations of culture - memory, history and heritage, the reference points of intersection of which are places of memory. The main attention in the scientific literature is paid to the study of the structure, framework, environment of social memory and the problems of places of memory, mechanisms of interaction between memory and time, memory, history and oblivion, as well as the politics of historical and cultural memory.
