The problem of the culture of interaction of police officers and civilians

The relationship between the police and the civilian population is of great importance. The attitude of the population towards law enforcement agencies indirectly affects the attitude towards the state. Moreover, the effectiveness of law enforcement depends on the nature of the social perception of the police and, in particular, the level of confidence in it. This is due to the fact that the activities of law enforcement agencies involve close interaction with the population, and the effectiveness of their actions largely depends on the extent to which members of society are ready to assist police officers. The article explores the main aspects of the importance of constructive interaction between law enforcement agencies and representatives of the civilian population. As part of the analysis of relations between the population and police officers in modern Russian society, the issue of violation of trust in the police is noted. The importance of the personal qualities of police officers as a factor in the acquisition of positive experience in interaction with law enforcement agencies from members of society is investigated. It is justified that the activities of departmental universities related to the humanitarian education of future police officers can create significant conditions for normalizing the situation.
