The Problem of Classifying Remote Theft as a Separate Crime

The article analyzes the qualification of remote fraud by the preliminary investigation authorities and the courts. Basically, the qualification is conducted according to the composition of theft and fraud. Additionally, the qualification may be based on the elements of crimes in the field of computer information. It is proposed to introduce a new crime as remote theft, since there are many features of theft in this area that differ from traditional crimes.
