Problem of personality (personality concept) in Russian literary criticism

The article considers the actual problem of personality in literary studies, provides the overview of two approaches in the interpretation of the human personality - «Russian» and «Russian-speaking». For example, various materials, articles, works of scientists demonstrate the feasibility and validity of these approaches. The article explores the concept of artistic conception of personality. In the article the special attention is paid to the personality typology developed by scientist Yu.M. Pavlov and applicable into literature of the XIX-XXI centuries. The use of typology of personality gives the opportunity to conduct a real analysis of the individual character of the work, identify and define the artistic concept of the individual.
