The problem of personal identity and Macaavellism in youth

This work is devoted to the study of the level of Machiavellianism, the status of personal identity and their relationship among students of the Faculty of Psychology, presents the results of an empirical study conducted at the Bashkir State University. A brief review of psychological literature on this subject is presented. An inverse relationship between personal identity and the level of Machiavellianism was revealed. Students who want to live up to the ideal idea of themselves are oriented toward others, have a lower level of Machiavellianism.
