The problem of multiple myeloma (mm) according to scientific publications of the VI congress of hematologists and the III congress of transfusiologists of Russia April 21 - 23, 2022, Moscow

We present the results of the analysis of scientific studies published in the proceedings of the VI Congress of Hematologists and the III Congress of Transfusiologists of Russia on the problem of MM. All publications can be divided into several directions: epidemiological, fundamental-clinical and clinical. For all the above directions, the scientific works were characterized by relevance and practical relevance. The method of autologous HSCs was further developed in terms of HSCs mobilization, cryopreservation, conditioning and subsequent treatment. The greatest number of works was devoted to the study of the effectiveness of various chemoimmunotherapy (CIT) programs, including innovative drugs such as daratumumumab, elotuzumab, ikasomib, carfilzomib in combination with bortezomib and lenalidomide. Of great interest for practical hematologists were works devoted to the clinical characteristics of patients, including difficult cases of diagnosis and treatment. Summarizing the above, we can say that the problem of MM, presented in the works of the Congress, is successfully developing.
