Article is devoted the socially-philosophical analysis of modern scientific approaches to the analysis of the reasons of the ethnic conflicts provoking their transition in a violent phase. In it attempt to systematise various approaches of researchers to escalation, and also forecasting of ethnic conflicts, to conflict situation definition also is undertaken.
