The problem of inequality in Russian society

Inequality is one of the challenges for the sustainable development of the State. The article analyses economic inequality in Russia on the basis of official statistics. The results of the assessment of inequality in Russia based on the data of the Global Wealth report are presented. It is concluded that it is necessary to form an effective progressive taxation system as a tool to reduce inequality for the sustainable development of the state.
