The issue of new martyrdom in the researches of modern historians

The article studies the researches dealing with the various aspects of the history of New Martyrs of the Russian Orthodox Church, their typical features, genre and methodological peculiarities. The author notes that the in-depth study of the New Martyrs' experience contributes to the reconstruction of the Christian values system in the comprehension of modern people, in the state ideology, in the sphere of education and upbringing.
