The problem of ensuring the conservation of attorney-client privilege in the conditions of digitalization

Purpose: Research of the problems connected with protection of the information constituting a subject of attorney-client privilege from the new dangers connected with development of information technologies. Methodology: The author used formal legal, comparative legal and analytical methods. Results: The article emphasizes the importance of the institution of attorney-client privilege as a necessary component of the advocate's status. The main attention is paid to the problem of encroachments on the information constituting the subject of attorney-client privilege, committed using digital technologies. The author proposed measures to ensure the protection of such information. Novelty/originality/value: Article possesses the high scientific value as the provisions contained in the materials of the article can be used to improve the current legislation on the advocate's status.
