Problem of assessing the economic feasibility of commercialization of the results of intellectual activity

An important and topical issue that has to be solved in the field of innovative economics is the assessment of the economic feasibility of investments in the commercialization of intellectual property results. The result of intellectual activity is an intangible object in the field of science, technology, art, etc. The article discusses the concept of the result of intellectual activity, the problems arising in the process of commercialization of the result of intellectual activity and lists the main indicators for assessing the profitability of the costs of commercialization of the result of intellectual activity: the return on investment coefficient and the cost return index. As a result, the necessary conditions of the above indicators are given, under which investments in the commercialization of the results of intellectual activity are considered appropriate.
