The problem of loneliness and alienation in the philosophy of the XX century

This article discusses the philosophical and social sense of loneliness. The importance of social and philosophical understanding of loneliness is the actualization of the importance of this phenomenon for a single person and society as a whole. Appealing to the problems of the phenomenon of alienation in social relations is determined by the increasing role of communications technology in the life of people. The scientific aspect of the relevance of the topic is determined by the need for a theoretical understanding of the phenomenon of alienation, the uncompleted process of conceptualizing the definition of «alienation». XX century, as it is known, has made significant changes in vital activity of humans, and, consequently, in the relationships between them. The emergence of the mass media, more and more increasing mechanization of all life, the disappearance of reflective base, rootedness in tradition - these and other pressing issues with clear evidence stand before the face of a man of XX and XXI centuries. The situation is aggravated by the increasing fragmentation of individuals, turning into hostility, obvious or hidden opposition.
