The paper is devoted to the problem of father and sons’ relations of American philosopher and educator John Dewey (1859-1952). The content of the article allows to add bright pages of family biography to the image of the outstanding scholar, the reformer of the XX th century school, helping to deeper understanding of his role as a sons’ up-bringer.
