Periodization issues in foreign language teaching

The issues that are connected with the periodization problems in foreign language teaching in Russia are considered in the article. The author considers that creation of the objective and well-founded periodization reflects tendencies and laws of the language education system development and serves as the precondition for creation of the prognostic model for its development.
