The problem of understanding of the other as another way of existence: methodology of “adaptation”

The article considers ontological aspects of the issue of understanding the notion of “the Other” from the perspective of the author’s concept of “adaptation”. The methodology of “adaptation” allows to educe the ontological bases for such approaches to understanding as existential-phenomenological, hermeneutical as well as topological. The understanding is connected with the production of sense, action of comprehension which unites the unique ways of being at the ontological level.
