Problem of compulsory treatment of persons who committed a crime in the state of drug intoxication

The article deals with the problem of compulsory treatment of persons who committed a crime in the state of drug intoxication. This problem is quite topical, since in recent years the number of drug addicts in Russia has increased tenfold. The authors believe that it is necessary to return the rule that presumes compulsory treatment of persons who committed minor or medium -gravity crimes from drug addiction and alcoholism to the Russian Criminal Code to resolve this problem. Also, according to the authors, the system of principles, medical indications, techniques and methods of such treatment should be developed, which takes into account the recent experience of developed democratic countries in resolving this problem.
