The problem of compatibility of ethnic and civic identity in the multicultural society

The growth of cultural diversity in the modern national states actualizes a common identity problem. One of the models of the cultural coexistence in the common space is multiculturalism. It assumes that many cultures exist equally on the same territory. The key problem of the multicultural society is the compatibility of civic and ethnic identity. This article is devoted to the consideration of the abovementioned issue.
