The problem of gender relations in the social and cultural project by L. Feuerbach

The research analyzes gender relations in Feuerbach’s social and cultural project. An attempt is made to identify the philosopher’s view on this issue. The study highlights the anthropological aspect of Feuerbach’s concept. The research determines the attitude of the philosopher to the feeling of love that connects man with God. The religion of love is the basis of human relationships. Through the category of corporeality, feminine and masculine principles, the need for their unity in integrity is revealed: the absolute man combines femininity and masculinity. Despite the fact that L. Feuerbach rejects woman’s secondary nature and sinfulness, a woman complements a man. The philosopher does not deviate from the traditional approach to dealing with the purpose of women by showing androcentrism and masculinity. L. Feuerbach takes a step forward in the philosophy of this period by putting human first.
