Problematic aspects of refugee status in international law

In this article, the author examines the legal status of refugees in international law. The relevance of the problem raised lies in the fact that the international legal concept of “refugee” is being analyzed. Special attention is paid to the study of international legal documents regulating the legal status of this category of persons (refugees) and interstate cooperation in the field of migration. Based on the results of the study, the author comes to the conclusion that the right of refugees is marked by a priority institution for the protection of individual rights, they are determined by an important area of ensuring the norms of international public law.
