The article presents the results of an empirical study of understanding conflict interaction with students of technical secondary schools. Much attention is given to the differences of social competence in the sphere of professional formation and in the ordinary and everyday part of life. Defined the specific features of the young psychologists interfering in the exercise of consultative and training, mediation work with students. The article gives a detailed recommendation to enhance the effectiveness of work of the psychologist in the educational institution.
