Problematic issues of the diagnosis and treatment of nonerosive gastroesophageal reflux disease in patients with stable exertional angina

The paper covers the issues related to the diagnosis and treatment of nonerosive reflux disease in patients with angina. The results of our analysis suggest that we cannot exclude possible pathogenetic role of coronary artery disease in the development of clinical and functional signs of nonerosive reflux disease as a part of comorbid pathology. At the same time, mechanisms underlying the association of these diseases are still poorly understood. These mechanisms are the essence of the problem of polymorbidity, which requires further research aimed at identifying pathogenetic mechanisms of the syndrome of mutual aggravation of these diseases. In addition to that, it is necessary to create methods for rapid assessment of the type of the relationship between these comorbid diseases. It will enable the development of new diagnostic algorithms and a differentiated approach to the treatment of such patients.
