On the poverty issue in mass media: contemporary approach

The article is devoted to the issue of poverty representation in contemporary mass media discourse. On the basis of international experience the author develops methods to specify poverty description in Russian mass media and puts forward several recommendations to overcome poverty by means of some social mechanisms.
