In the materials of the article considers the main challenges related to the control of the integrity of conductive coatings (CCI) of fuel tanks of the aircraft. Analyzes the various types of defects and identifies key issues arising from their discovery. The paper presents the design of a capacitive device for monitoring the integrity of the CCI with the control value of the air gap, which allows to increase the accuracy of the known technical solutions.
