Problems of depressive regions of the Republic of Belarus and prospects for development by experience of foreign countries

The article is devoted to the study of regional depression. The characteristic features of regional depression in the UK, France, Germany, and Russia are considered. The main signs of a depressed territory are formulated. Quantitative criteria for classifying regions as depressed are considered. Criteria are proposed for classifying the Republic of Dagestan as depressive and the dynamics of the main indicators of regional development is considered.
