Problems of the spiritual and educational ministry of the monasteries of the Russian Orthodox Church in the late XIX - early XX centuries

The work is devoted to the assessment of problems and factors negatively affecting the spiritual and educational activities of the monasteries of the Russian Orthodox Church and the evangelism of monastics in the late XIX - early XX centuries. Two main problems are presented: external and internal, and the following of them are problems of the second and third orders. The author's classification of the problems of the spiritual and educational ministry of the Russian Orthodox Church and its monasteries, in the period under study, on deep grounds is proposed.
