The paper is concerned with the issues of developing citizen advocacy of future lawyers in the conditions of evolvement of civil society and law-governed state in Russia. The authors define the concept of citizen advocacy as a form of social activity, discuss the role of modern young people in community development, and emphasize the significance of professional lawyers in overcoming urgent social problems.
